| Catalina Aquarium's Lighthouse hoods are entry level compact fluorescent with one bulb or one row of bulbs (with the exception of some smaller models may have two rows of bulbs), one switch, and one power cord. Attractive durable 5 inch wide 2¾ aluminum hood comes with a 99.9% reflective German mirror polished aluminum reflector, and bulb(s). Available options include moonlights, legs, fans and splash guard. The Lighthouse hood is good for all aquariums. Lighthouse hoods are often purchased to replace a standard fluorescent hoods that are commonly sold with aquariums. Lighthouse hoods are use to increase the light intensity in the aquarium. These hoods are often used on freshwater planted aquariums, saltwater reef aquariums, refugiums, or to make the aquarium brighter. |
